Description

Quinta do Gradil 100% Chardonnay is produced with 50% of the blend fermented in French oak barrels, intensifying its varietal character. Apple, butter and hazelnut aromas, combined with light wood smoke, make this wine expressive, full bodied and creamy. The Atlantic freshness is clear in tasting.

Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vines and wine became part of the estate's economic activity. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments happened, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Several years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference in the world, and is now led by Luís Vieira.
