Description

Chão Gonçalo is a red wine obtained from the Touriga Nacional and Petit Verdot grape varieties. It presents a bright red colour with floral notes, such as violets, highlighting also the aromas of bergamot and spices. The elegant body and the enveloping tannins, give this wine a silky texture and a pleasant freshness.

The history of Casa de Sarmento begins in 1980 with the opening of a restaurant specialising in the preparation of roast suckling pig, in the Bairrada Demarcated Region. The business grew over the years and the paths branched out, without ever abandoning the House's first bet. Thus, decades later, two new properties were acquired in Alentejo and a third in Bairrada, assuming itself as self-sufficient in the production of quality wines and sparkling wines, as well as olive oil and all agricultural and livestock production.
