Description

Alpedrinha red wine is produced from Jaen, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, and after 12 months aging in stainless steel vats, 6 months in French oak barrels and 6 months in bottle, it presents a deep ruby colour with an aroma of ripe fruit, slightly compote, with herbaceous hints. In the mouth it is structured, with marked and persistent tannins.

The Adega do Fundão is founded in 1949 by the hands of 30 winegrowers from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, a vine-growing area dating back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that time.

The vineyards are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, which allows the production of grapes that give the wines a richness, freshness and exuberance without equal.
