2020 Monte Bluna Tictac red

Tictac is produced with time, where nature is involved and emphasised by the Syrah grape variety. After careful selection, the wine is fermented without haste and aged for a long period in used French oak barrels. Time and dedication to this wine have resulted in a complex and enveloping profile with an intense garnet colour. On the nose, the typical Syrah aromas stand out, with ripe black fruits such as plum and blackberry, surrounded by hints of spices, black pepper and subtle touches of liquorice. Hints of violets, dark chocolate and nuances of smoke give depth to the whole. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with soft but present tannins, offering a perfect balance between freshness and structure. The finish is persistent, with notes of cocoa and spices lingering delicately.

Monte Bluna starts its journey in the wine industry when it acquires a small parcel of 40-year-old vines in the Lisbon region. The 6 hectares at altitude, flanked by the Atlantic Ocean and the Tagus River, are now exploited to create wines, that express a unique and harmonious character, in total balance with the environment.
