Description

Villa Nogueira Harvest red is a wine with Denomination of Origin Óbidos, and in its production special emphasis is placed on environmental and health issues, and the grapes that originate it, come from vineyards certified by the Integrated Production standards. It has an intense ruby colour, mentholated and balsamic notes, combined with the aromas of forest berries and slight wood nuances. It reveals freshness, vivacity, and ripe and silky tannins.

The Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the 18th century, and was always in the possession of the same family until the second half of the 20th century. The current owners acquired it at the beginning of this 21st century. The estate's 20 hectares of vineyards are planted in clay soils, marked by the influence of the natural microclimate of the foothills of the Serra de Todo-o-Mundo and by the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. A vineyard without irrigation that gathers unique characteristics, an unequalled freshness, and the bearer of a natural salinity. Thus, the wines are marked by their singularity.
