2022 Peripécia Pinot Noir Clone 777 red
Description
The Peripécia Pinot Noir Clone 777 red is a distinctive wine, made with great attention to detail. Produced using the classic tanning method with thermal control, 80% of the wine was aged for 18 months in stainless steel, while the remaining 20% matured in French oak barrels, resulting in a harmonious balance between freshness and complexity.
Coming from clone 777 grapes, this wine stands out for its darker, more vibrant colour, unusual in traditional Pinot Noir. On the nose, it reveals an intense aroma of black cherry, which is confirmed on the palate, where a lively acidity, full-bodied structure and substantial texture stand out, offering a rich and persistent experience. Ideal for those looking for a Pinot Noir with personality and depth.
The Quinta do Cerrado da Porta was acquired by its current owners in 1996. A property that initially had around 3 hectares and was in a very poor state of repair, it is now the family home and wine farm with 17 hectares, of which 14 ha are occupied by vineyards.
