Description
Quinta do Gradil 100% Syrah grape variety, aged 9 months in French oak barrels, becoming very expressive, with intense aromas of forest berries, punctuated with chemical notes and a touch of minerality. Elegant in the mouth, it reveals harmony between the fruit and the evident but well-integrated tannins.
The Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vines and wine became part of the estate's economic activity. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments happened, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Several years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference in the world, and is now led by Luís Vieira.
