The Chivas Brothers' history began in a grocery store in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1801. Chivas Regal 25 Years Old was launched in 1909 as the world's first luxury whisky. In this new era of exuberance, Chivas Regal 25-year-old fame quickly spreads across North America. In 1949, Chivas Regal 12 Years goes international, supported by exceptional advertising campaigns in publications such as The New Yorker. The Chivas brand expands, and within three decades becomes the global icon it is today.
