Founded in 1815 by two farmers, Donald and Alexander Johnston, the Laphroaig distillery, so named after its location, "wide hollow by the bay", is situated on the south coast of Islay.
Laphroaig presents a diverse range of single malt whiskies, all with an engaging and very distinctive profile, where the pungent earthy aromas of smoked blue peat, the sweetness of barley, and the healthy fragrance of Islay streams, reveal themselves with every taste.
It's been 200 years of perfecting the distilling technique, family history and indeed of Scotch whisky itself.
