The Singleton of Glendullan The Silken Gown 2023 Special Release 14-year-old whisky is a limited edition from Diageo.
On the nose, this whisky reveals itself with initial notes of puff pastry, grass, vanilla and sugary cereals, but also features soft stone fruits, green apples and a hint of pear skin. When savouring, the palate follows a similar path, albeit with added spiciness. The finish is medium in length and somewhat astringent, with hints of salted butter, toffee and apple peel.
The Singleton brand is made up of three distilleries: Dufftown, Glen Ord, and Glendullan. The dominant attribute of Singleton Single Malt Whisky is its fruity and smooth flavour, perfectly balanced with notes of brown sugar and roasted nuts. With a balanced spirit, Singleton is matured in sherry casks and Bourbon oak, creating a rich family of smooth whiskies with layers and layers of flavour, because at Dufftown, flavour is everything. The names of these whiskies are inspired by the colourful world of fly fishing, which is very traditional on the River Spey in Scotland.
