Talisker The Wild Explorer 2023 Special Release is a limited edition whisky from Diageo.
This whisky reveals itself on the nose with hints of smoked paprika, cured meats and a gentle coastal breeze, as well as seaweed, dried red fruits (dates, sultanas) and chalk. The soft wood smoke is accompanied by a touch of iodine. On tasting, it displays classic Talisker characteristics. A distinct spiciness accompanied by wood smoke and a sweetness that comes from some ex-Porto barrels. The finish is medium to long term, with the persistence of the spicy and smoky, slightly saline sensation.
