The Glengarriff series was launched in early 2018 by West Cork Distillers with two expressions: the charred peat oak barrel finish and the charred bog oak barrel finish. These Irish single malt whiskies are initially matured in casks used in Sherry wine ageing before being treated to a finishing period in casks that have been charred, drawing on fuel sources from the Glengarriff Forest in West Cork.
