Description
Bacalhôa, founded in 1922 under the name João Pires & Filhos, has come a long way, establishing itself as one of the most innovative wine producers in Portugal. The company's activity began by producing wines with grapes from the Palmela region. During the '80s, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal started its expansion, acquiring properties throughout the national territory, creating new paradigms of quality wine production.
It is in Quinta do Carmo that is located the vinification centre of all its wines from Alentejo. Equipped with modern technology, this winery has the capacity to produce 3 million litres.
