2019 Château Grand-Puy Ducasse Pauillac red
Description
In the mid-17th century, Arnaud Ducasse purchased a small house on the banks of the Gironde estuary from Jacques de Ségur, Seigneur de Lafite, a property that remained in his family for almost three centuries.
Years later, his son inherited the 60 hectares of the property, which was then called "Ducasse-Grand-Puy-Artigues-Arnaud".
It was under the management of his son-in-law Adrien Chauvet that the estate was classified in 1855 as Artigues Arnaud. The company called Grand-Puy Ducasse was founded in 1932. Currently, it has 40 hectares with an average age of 25 years for the vineyards.
