Descended from a family of winegrowers and cooperatives originating from Boppard on the Rhine, Jean Adam Reitz arrived in Burgundy in 1793. His great-grandson Paul Reitz, a producer from Nuits-Saint-Georges, settled in Corgoloin in 1872 and founded the estate in 1882. For 8 generations, the estate has endeavoured to preserve the knowledge and expertise according to the tradition of the owners, winemakers and merchants.
