1988 Hanyu Noh Cask N.º 9306 21 years (bottled in 2009)
概要
During the Second World War, in 1941, Isouji Akuto, the 19th generation of the Akuto family, established the Hanyu distillery in the eponymous city, located northwest of Tokyo. In 1946, he obtained a licence to produce alcohol, and by the early 1980s, the company already had two stills for producing Scotch whisky. In 2000, Hanyu ceased its production, which was only resumed in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, the founder's grandson. Small and charming, the new distillery and Ichiro's series of malt whiskies have become a true cult among enthusiasts worldwide.
