Over 1100 hectares of land and an agricultural and winemaking tradition, which already amounts to 200 years, characterize this property since 1775, remains in Cruz Sobral family. A pioneer in technological innovation in the Ribatejo, the farm located a few kilometers from Almeirim just suffered new remodeling at is cellar from 1817 (the first steam of the region) a commitment to quality that has always marked their production. On the left bank of Tejo river, the vineyards that now occupy 140 hectares and have an average age of 30 years receive the sandy loam terroir, and is composed mainly of typical Portuguese grape varieties: Fernão Pires, Castelao, Trincadeira and Touriga Nacional. Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Alicante Bouchet were recently introduced foreign varieties, completing the area of wine exploration.
