The Lima Mayer wines are produced at Quinta de São Sebastião in Monforte, which was one of the most traditional and prestigious agricultural houses of the Alto Alentejo, belonging to Marquês da Praia and Monforte. Its relief is smooth, the granitic soils and the fifth is largely covered by holm oak and cork oak, with some rocky outcrops. It is bordered by two streams which are a huge contribution to water resources, and give extraordinary scenic beauty. In 20 hectares of vineyard, they select the best Iberian and French varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Alicante Boushet and Aragonez.
