Since taking over the leadership of Champagne Jacques Selosse in 1980, Anselme has challenged the old definitions of Champagne excellence, creating wines of exceptional quality and charisma. His approach has involved low yields and exacting viticulture, allowing the harvesting of grapes that are not only physiologically ripe but also highly expressive. With nearly 40 years in the business, Anselme profoundly altered the history of Champagne.

In 2018, he decided to retire and handed Domaine Jacques Selosse over to his son Guillaume, an exceptionally skilled and imaginative winemaker. The transition was seamless, as expected. Guillaume worked closely with his father for many years, absorbing his philosophy and knowledge.
