Over the last thirty years, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest has constantly challenged practices and techniques for the benefit of his land and the unique characteristics of his wines, allowing Château Angélus to be recognised as one of the most important properties in its appellation area. This recognition of Château Angélus has been documented and is now classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé "A".
Angelus 2008 is still young and vibrant, with a dense purple colour and sweet notes of blackberries and blackcurrants combined with a delicious chocolate aroma. There are also some floral notes. The palate is full bodied with ripe tannins and exceptional balance.
