The 2009 vintage Holdvölgy wines are characterised by freshness, minerality, fruity aromas, and vigour, while the late harvest wines are dominated by fullness and creaminess. Thus, this late harvest presents aromas that combine, in an exceptional way, the notes of mushrooms, apricot jam, melon, pineapple, vanilla, subtle spices, and a hint of tobacco. In the mouth, it is light, elegant, and complex.

The Holdvölgy Winery is located in Mád, in the heart of the Tokaj wine region in Hungary, a few kilometres from the geometric centre of Europe. Mád holds a special position in the world of viticulture due to its unique soil, macroclimate, and microclimate, and was documented in the 15th century as a meeting point for the wine trade.

Holdvölgy got an early start in viticulture, and today still maintains sections in its infrastructure dating back to the 16th century.

Always aiming to achieve success as Tokaj's iconic brand, Holdvölgy today owns 28 hectares of vineyards stretching across the Mád basin and is also one of the most extensive vineyards in the region.
