This Lima Mayer wine, produced exclusively from the Petit Verdot grape variety, was aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels. Garnet in colour, it has an intense and complex aroma with notes of ripe black fruit and balsamic nuances. The palate is structured, with ripe tannins and a long, persistent finish.

Lima Mayer wines are produced at Quinta de São Sebastião in Monforte, which was part of one of the most traditional and prestigious agricultural houses of the Alto Alentejo, belonging to the Marquis of Praia and Monforte. Its relief is gentle, the soils are granite and the farm is largely covered by holm and cork oak forests, with some rocky outcrops. It is limited by two streams that are an enormous contribution in water resources, and give an extraordinary beauty to the landscape. In 20 hectares of vineyards, they choose a selection of the best Iberian and French grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Aragonês.
