Casa de Cello is a family business that has been dedicated to the viticultural exploitation of its estates for 4 generations. It was in the 80's, that one of the owners, João Pedro Araújo, started the professionalization of Casa de Cello's activity, reorganizing the existing structure in order to implement the best viticultural and oenological technologies, in order to express Casa de Cello's terroirs.

Quinta da Vegia, located in the Dão region, near the town of Penalva de Castelo, currently has 20 hectares of vineyards, which were developed according to a careful choice of grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão, Alfrocheiro, Encruzado and Bical, in order to create Quinta da Vegia wines.
