2016 Castello D'Alba Reserva white
概要
Made from grapes from old vines of the varieties Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, Viosinho. This wine spent 6 months in French and American oak barrels, and its fermentation and aging were done with fine lees stirring. It has a complex aroma with a mineral character balanced with exotic fruits, citrus, and white flowers from the countryside, as well as discrete and suggestive toasted notes of oak. In the mouth it is fat and creamy, with volume and freshness, very long.
Rui Roboredo Madeira Douro wines are produced at the winery located in São João da Pesqueira, where it all began in 1999. The first wine launched was with the brand Castello D'Alba, which is still marketed today.
In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in the border area between Douro Superior and Beira Alta, it was in the family that Rui Roboredo Madeira's passion for the aromas and smells of the land that mould his character was born. After years of experience and living in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his origins what he has learned, starting his wine production project, always with maximum respect for nature.
