2017 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Clos de Beze red
The Domaine Armand Rousseau has been family-run ever since its inception in the early 20th century. By acquiring new plots of prestigious vineyards, including Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de la Roche, Mazy-Chambertin, Mazoyères-Chambertin, Le Clos Saint Jacques and others, it has steadily increased its enviable footprint in the Gevrey-Chambertin commune. Domaine Armand Rousseau combines newer techniques such as green harvesting, leaf removal and mechanical tillage with organic viniculture and minimal manipulation of the wines. This produces wines that are typical of Burgundy – elegant but honest, with a genuine expression of terroir and Armand Rousseau’s unique handprint. They offer a refreshing lack of pretense, even though this is some of the rarest wine on the planet. There is no doubt about this being one of the finest addresses in all of Burgundy.
