The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for over six hundredyears. Since then, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Fattoria Aldobrandesca is located in the south of Maremma, in the centre of what is known as "the Etruscan area of Tufi". First Etruscan and then Roman land. In 594, Sovana was conquered by the Lombards who assigned it to the powerful Aldobrandeschi family, from which Fattoria Aldobrandesca also takes its name.
Fattoria Aldobrandesca represents a great challenge for the Antinori Marquises in the rediscovery of an ancient and traditional variety like Aleatico and in the development of a variety like Malbéc, which has found a new vocation in this territory.
