Coming from clay-limestone soils, surrounded by a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence, this Ninfa Old Vines red wine is produced from Castelão, Trincadeira, Camarate, and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties, among others. The quality of the old vines is reflected in this wine which is noted for its earthy, spicy, and fruity aromas, highlighting black cherries and slight nuances of eucalyptus.

João Teodósio Matos Barbosa, grandson of the founder of Caves Dom Teodósio, started his project in the production of wines, according to a regime of low intervention and organic production, with the introduction of new grape varieties and new blends.

Acquiring properties in the Tejo and Alto Alentejo regions, his legacy has been expanding with organic wines that are authentic and faithful to their terroir.
