Composed of 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2018 Rieussec with a pale golden lemon yellow colour, presents itself slowly to offer fragrant orange blossom, honeycomb, and candied ginger aromas, combined with notes of marmalade, cooked pears, and spices. In the mouth, it is light with a soft freshness, lifting the sweetness, finishing elegant.

The 93 hectare vineyard of Château Rieussec is situated at the junction of Fargues and Sauternes, and is adjacent to Château d'Yquemau d'Yquemec. It is this location that enables the production of fine and elegant Sauternes wine, elevating Rieussec to the rank of the most important Sauternes and Barsac estates.

The estate was acquired in 1984 by Domaines Barons de Rothschild.
