Cistus Reserva is produced from the traditional Douro grape varieties Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, and presents a good volume in the mouth, firm and enveloping tannins, showing the warm spices, coming from the ageing in French and American oak barrels.
The Quinta do Vale da Perdiz is a family company, having started its production in 1989.
All the wines from Quinta do Vale da Perdiz are marketed under the brand name "Cistus" and are produced from grapes coming from the Upper Douro, most of them coming from the vineyards of the Fernandes family, which owns the company, with a total area of approximately 50 hectares, spread over six estates.
