The Duas Margens white is a wine with a profile not very typical of the Douro, given the location of the vineyards are flanked by rivers that keep them cool. This white wine displays a very aromatic and fresh profile.
The Quinta da Vacaria, with more than four centuries of existence, is located on the bank of the Douro River near the city of Régua, in the heart of the oldest Demarcated Region in the world, the Douro.
At the quay of the Quinta, the Rabelo boats would dock to load the barrels filled with Port wine and transport them to Gaia, at the mouth of the river, where they were sold in bulk to the whole world, leaving behind their hidden identity since these wooden casks were not even marked with the producer's seal. At the destination, the wine was bottled and labelled with the brand of the foreign merchants who bought it, however, some of them came to gain a lot of prestige.
