2019 Moscatel de Setúbal Vinha Morena
概要
Moscatel de Setúbal Vinha Morena is a Muscat produced from the grape variety Moscatel Graúdo from the Setúbal Peninsula and, after stopping the short alcoholic fermentation, it undergoes a process of marceration throughout the winter season. After this period, it ages for 12 months in used oak barrels for its aromas to concentrate and intensify.
Thus, this is a Moscatel from Setúbal with typical aromas of orange peel, orange blossom, and other citrus fruits. Its taste is balanced, fresh, long, and persistent.
Herdade Canal Caveira is located on the border of two great wine regions, Setúbal Peninsula and Alentejo, between the slopes of Grandola Hill, where it receives the maritime influence of the Atlantic Ocean, projecting a unique micro-cilma.
With about 45 hectares, 25 of which are planted with vines, Herdade Canal Caveira is not only focused on vitiviniculture but also the production of olive groves, orange groves, cork oaks, holm oaks, and pine trees.
The vineyards are planted on sandy soils and have about 18 different varieties, broadening the profiles of the wines, making them elegant, complex, and persistent. This is a perfect terroir for the production of quality wines that meet the demands of wine lovers.
