2019 Pacheca Vale de Abraão Colheita Selecionada red
概要
Pacheca Vale de Abraão is made with grapes from Quinta de Vale de Abraão, vineyards in the Pinhão River Valley and the Vilariça Valley. Composed of 50% Touriga Franca and 50% Touriga Nacional, it has an elegant aroma with floral notes of violet and orange blossom, as well as a spicy touch of wood. The palate is complex, with polished tannins, hints of chocolate and an implicit freshness. The finish is long and very persistent.
Quinta da Pacheca, one of the best-known properties in the Douro, stands out for being one of the first to bottle its own-brand wines.
The name of this estate has been referenced since the 17th April 1738, when in a dated document appears for the first time the reference to Quinta "da Pacheca", due to its owner D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. But it was only in 1903 that D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel decided to develop his growing interest in oenology, buying the property to dedicate himself to wine production.
Today, a century later, the new Serpa Pimentel generation takes over the management of the Quinta: Maria, Catarina, and José are the young faces of this distinctly family-oriented company.
