Casa de Cello is a family business that has been dedicated to winegrowing on its estates for 4 generations. It was in the 1980s, that one of the owners, João Pedro Araújo, started the professionalization of Casa de Cello's activity, reorganizing the existing structure in order to implement the best viticultural and oenological technologies, in order to express the terroirs of Casa de Cello.

The Quinta da Vegia, located in the Dão region, near the town of Penalva de Castelo, has currently 20 hectares of vineyards, whose vineyards were developed according to a careful choice of grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão, Alfrocheiro, Encruzado, and Bical, in order to create Quinta da Vegia wines.
