2019 Quinta do Gradil Saltimbanco Sauvignon Blanc white

Because not all years are the same and each grape variety reacts differently, each character in this range of travelling saltimbanco will appear whenever justified with new displays. Quinta do Gradil Saltimbanco white is a limited edition of 660 units, 100% Sauvignon Blanc. A rare and special wine, with a perfumed and intense aroma, very pure and incisive, with intense character of the variety, asparagus and cut grass and tropical fruit, it reveals an excellent balance in the mouth, with an engaging texture and fine acidity conferring great freshness.

Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vines and wine became part of the economic activity of the estate. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments happened, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Several years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference in the world, and is now led by Luís Vieira.
