Quinta do Gradil 100% Tannat, whose 30% of the blend aged for 9 months in French and American oak barrels, reveals a lot of colour suggesting from the outset a concentrated wine, with hints of black plum, wild berries, smoke and vanilla from the barrels. In the mouth, it is full, with powerful and engaging tannins, making this wine very rich, intense and with a long finish.

Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vines and wine became part of the economic activity of the estate. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments happened, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Several years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference in the world, and is now led by Luís Vieira.
