2020 Sparkling Wine XXVI Talhas Pet Nat do Tareco

Sparkling Wine XXVI Talhas Pet Nat do Tareco is a unique sparkling wine that reflects the authenticity of winemaking in the Alentejo, with a touch of tradition and nature. The grapes, from vineyards in the Alentejo and the Douro, were crushed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in a carving, where they remained in contact with the masses for 10 days. The wine was bottled almost at the end of fermentation, passing through the pasta for a light natural filtration. It aged for three and a half years on its lees until it was degorged in January 2024. Topaz in colour, it has notes of dried fruit on the nose, which combine with a mouth marked by a slight gas, good acidity and well-present tannins. The aftertaste is long and persistent and stands out for its harmony and complexity. This sparkling wine is produced from the Roupeiro grape variety from vineyards in the Alentejo and Roupeiro (Códega do Larinho) from vineyards in the Douro and is an authentic and sophisticated expression of the two terroirs.
