2020 Quinta do Gradil 1492 Sauvignon Blanc & Arinto white
Quinta do Gradil white is produced with Sauvignon Blanc and Arinto grape varieties. The blend of these two varieties is very evident in the aroma and taste, with notes of tropical fruit, asparagus and light vegetable from Sauvignon Blanc and citrus notes from Arinto. It proves to be light, balanced, appealing and pleasurable at the moment of tasting.
Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vines and wine became part of the estate's economic activity. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments happened, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Several years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference in the world, and is now led by Luís Vieira.
