It was in Velho Sobral that Cristina Simões, daughter of the company's founder, grew up with her grandparents, where she learned the art of the land, where she played, and above all where she discovered love, a love that she continues to express with pride. He begins his dream with sacrifice, in the year 1997. Beginning to annex land to his Velho Sobral, he also begins the reconstitution of old vines with new plantations and builds his winery in the year 2000, constantly evolving the technology and space at his service.

The Quinta do Sobral currently has 15 hectares of vineyards in production and more than 20 hectares of forest, fundamental to the terroir of the Dão wine. Returning to the sacrifices and bets on this project, Cristina Simões, a teacher by profession, and Jorge Loureiro, hotel manager of a 5-star complex in England, form a passionate couple with common ideas. They embraced Nelson Simões' project and, fulfilling their dream, left behind their perfectly established careers, dedicating themselves exclusively to the Quinta do Sobral project.
