2021 Maritávora N.º 2 Grande Reserva organic red

Maritávora No. 2 Grande Reserva Organic red is crafted from old vineyards ranging from 20 to 70 years of age, planted with Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and other traditional Douro grape varieties. The wine is fermented by foot treading in traditional granite lagares before being aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, developing remarkable depth and elegance.

It offers an intense and complex profile, where concentrated fruit is beautifully integrated with the subtle influence of oak ageing. On the palate, it is structured and refined, with fine tannins, an enveloping texture and an excellent balance between freshness and intensity.

The finish is long, elegant and persistent, reflecting the character of the old vines and the authenticity of organic viticulture in the Douro.
