2021 Página Alvarinho white

Página white is produced from Alvarinho grapes from a 1.8-hectare vineyard with Óbidos Denomination of Origin. Special attention is given to environmental and health concerns during production, with grapes coming from vineyards certified under Integrated Production standards. This wine is a selected and concentrated blend. It presents a citrus colour, with elegant aromas of lychees, some mineral notes, and a slight touch of toasting. On the palate, it is intense and fresh, with incisive acidity, harmonised with smoothness and good volume. It finishes with honeyed and smooth notes, alongside an impressive final freshness.

The Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, during the first half of the 18th century, and remained in the same family until the second half of the 20th century. The current owners acquired it at the start of this century. The property’s 20-hectare vineyard is planted in clay soils, influenced by the natural microclimate of the Serra de Todo-o-Mundo foothills, and is located about 20 km from the Atlantic Ocean. This unirrigated vineyard exhibits unique characteristics, unmatched freshness, and a natural salinity, marking its wines with distinctiveness.
