2022 Inóspito Roncão Vinhas Velhas red
概要
The Inóspito Roncão Vinhas Velhas red comes from three micro-parcels of old vines, planted in 1900, situated between 250 and 400 metres of altitude, in the Cima-Corgo sub-region, near Vilarinho de Cotas and Casal de Loivos. The hand-harvested grapes come from poor, schist-based soils, giving the wine a unique profile, fresh, complex, and structured, without any tartaric correction. The fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts, and the wine is aged for 18 months in new and used French oak barrels (Bertrange forest). This wine reflects the minerality, acidity, and freshness of the centenary parcels, being the pure expression of the terroir, unadulterated. Inóspito Roncão is a field blend of more than 45 grape varieties, creating a unique wine in the region.
Geographic Wines is a project by Daniela Matias and Nuno Morais Vaz, aiming to create wines that showcase the authentic characteristics of the grape varieties and the terroirs from which they originate.
