The Slate 'N' Chalk wine is a bold winemaking experiment that breaks boundaries. Hailing from the sun-drenched Alentejo, it unexpectedly blends the Portuguese grape varieties Moreto and Antão Vaz from Amareleja with the Spanish Palomino Fino from Jerez. Its pale hue contrasts with the aromatic depth, where wild berries, ripe grapes, spices, and earthy notes of dry grass and rockrose stand out. On the palate, it balances soft, polished texture with a surprising intensity of flavour.

Located in Baixo Alentejo, on the left bank of the Guadiana River, the Amareleja region presents particularly challenging climatic and geological conditions for viticulture. In this land of significant temperature fluctuations and long, scorching summers, various civilisations have historically recognised its agricultural potential, especially for the production of wine and olive oil. Vinhos Sin Fronteiras represents a dynamic and exciting chapter in the evolution of Portuguese wine, driven by the desire to explore and push new boundaries of flavour.
