Quinta da Ribeirinha is located in Póvoa de Santarém, in the Tejo wine region. A passion for wine and, above all, a long-standing dedication to viticulture has been passed down through generations of the Cândido family. José Cândido, the family patriarch, began his career in agriculture at a young age, with wine becoming his main source of income.

Years later, his son Joaquim Cândido, a doctor and passionate wine enthusiast, took over the family business. He expanded the vineyard, built a dedicated winery, and embraced scientific and technological advancements in the winemaking process.

Shortly afterwards, two of his children, Mariana and Rui, an economist and a biochemist, joined the team, completing the group that currently leads the company. Winemaking is overseen by César Machado.
