概要

Barroca da Malhada Dolia white is made from the Fernão Pires and Bical grape varieties, with hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and low intervention in the cellar. The wine undergoes full skin maceration in amphora for one month, followed by a further eight months of ageing of the liquid only, with fermentation at low temperatures.

It displays a lemon-yellow colour. On the nose, it shows notable richness and complexity, with well-defined layers in which primary fruit takes centre stage, complemented by a subtle toasted note and the earthy expression of the amphora, in perfect harmony. On the palate, it stands out for its vibrant acidity, structure and depth, with well-aligned flavours that give it a distinctly gastronomic and individual profile.

Barroca da Malhada is an artisanal wine producer from Beira Interior, rooted in a historic estate dating back to the Middle Ages, once owned by the Viscounts of Tinalhas. With around five hectares of vineyards farmed organically and following biodynamic practices, the estate works schist-sandy soils of granitic origin in one of Portugal’s most mountainous regions. The wines reflect a low-intervention approach, favouring authenticity, freshness and a true expression of place.
