概要

Clarete Barroca da Malhada Trincadeira is made from the Trincadeira grape variety, with hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention in the cellar. The wine results from the combination of three distinct ageing vessels — second-use Portuguese oak barrels, amphora and stainless steel — which contribute to its complexity and balance. It shows a bright, crystalline red colour. On the nose, it offers an intense and fresh expression, with notes of mint and strawberry, supported by subtle hints of brioche and vanilla. On the palate, it is juicy and well balanced, with fresh red fruit, a well-integrated earthy character and excellent freshness.

Barroca da Malhada is an artisanal wine producer from Beira Interior, rooted in a historic estate dating back to the Middle Ages, once owned by the Viscounts of Tinalhas. With around five hectares of vineyards farmed organically and following biodynamic practices, the estate works schist-sandy soils of granitic origin in one of Portugal’s most mountainous regions. The wines reflect a low-intervention approach, favouring authenticity, freshness and a true expression of place.
