概要

The Dez Tostões red is a wine full of character, with a deep and intense ruby colour. On the nose, it reveals a warm and captivating aroma, where notes of black forest fruits stand out, wrapped in a subtle hint of spices. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with well-structured tannins that add depth and personality. This Alentejo red perfectly combines the elegance of Touriga Nacional, the intensity of Alicante Bouschet, and the versatility of Aragonês, resulting in a well-balanced and engaging wine.

Herdade da Maroteira is located at the foot of Serra D'Ossa, and spreads over 540 hectares, owned by the same Anglo-Portuguese family for 5 generations, since the mid-19th century. At that time, Robert Reynolds invested in the Alentejo cork oak forest to meet the needs of the Port Wine industry in northern Portugal, and for some 150 years, the focus of the estate's production was cork and cattle. It was not until the year 2000 that Philip Mollet, the current owner and manager of the estate revolutionised the estate's strategy and planted vines. Since then, the estate has produced excellent Alentejo wines based on the preferred grape variety, Syrah.

The vines are spread over the 15 hectares planted on clay-limestone soils, giving the wines the genuine character of the Alentejo.
