2024 Manoella rosé

Produced from grapes from a 43-year-old Touriga Nacional vineyard planted on south-west facing slopes at an altitude of 450 metres. It's a classic rosé wine, fresh and aromatic, with a very light colour. It has fresh notes of raspberries and roses, with a slight hint of clementine. The palate is fresh, with mineral notes and a very long finish.

Jorge is the 5th generation of a long line of wine producers and winery owners. So, in 2009, Sandra and Jorge acquired Quinta da Manoella, a property with a history dating back to 1838.

The vineyards at Quinta da Manoella are over a hundred years old, flanked on either side by younger vines, and are capable of producing wines with a high degree of freshness and finesse, and with a concentration that makes them quickly recognised as some of the best wines in the Douro.

Founded in 2001 by winemaker couple Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, Wine & Soul has been investing in and buying up old vines and properties in the Pinhão river valley.

The couple aims to create wines that express all the character of the old vines and indigenous grape varieties of the Douro, seeking a balance between concentration, complexity and elegance.
