Mullineux Old Vines Swartland white is a South African wine that expresses the character of old vines and ancient soils from the Swartland region. Made from a blend of Chenin Blanc, Semillon Gris, Clairette Blanche, Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Verdelho, it combines varietal diversity with precision.
Aged for 11 months in used French oak barrels and a large foudre, the nose reveals notes of fresh stone fruit and lightly poached pear. The palate is complex and layered, with flavours of yellow grapefruit and nectarine, vibrant acidity and subtle hints of ginger and spice. An elegant, structured wine with excellent ageing potential.
