2024 Vallado Alvor white

Vallado Alvor is a white wine of remarkable identity, born from old vines planted in schist soils with granite veins in the Douro. Crafted from a field blend of traditional grape varieties, with Rabigato and Códega (known as Síria) standing out, it reveals the authenticity of unique plots while preserving the expression of each individual vineyard.

The winemaking approach sought to enhance the complexity and character of these origins, with fermentation in French oak barrels with a Burgundy profile and a careful process designed to achieve a balance between volume, structure and freshness. Full malolactic fermentation adds texture and depth, without compromising elegance and aromatic precision.

A distinctive white wine with multiple layers of complexity, expressing the Douro of the past and the unique identity of its old vines.

One of the Douro’s most prestigious estates, Quinta do Vallado was built in 1716 and once belonged to D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, known as “A Ferreirinha”. Remaining in the hands of her descendants to this day, it continues to be a benchmark in the region, producing wines that combine tradition, character and a strong connection to the land.
