2024 Viña Haras de Pirque Albaclara Sauvignon Blanc Valle de Leyda white
概要
Sauvignon Blanc, a grape variety of great personality, has recently shown surprising characteristics in Chile, particularly in the coastal area of Leyda. The name Albaclara is inspired by the wonderful sunrises that appear in the vineyards of Leyra, and the grapes are harvested by hand.
Bright in colour with yellow highlights, it offers citrus and mineral aromas typical of the Leyda Valley, combined with fresh notes of white fruits such as peaches, passion fruit and mandarin. On the palate, it reveals lively acidity with herbaceous notes of fresh mint and spearmint.
The estate is located in Pirque, central part of the country, one of the most prestigious and well-known areas of the Maipo Valley for vineyard planting, at the foot of the Andes. The Maipo Alto area lies between 500 and 800 metres above sea level, an area with a temperate thermal amplification with native vegetation of myrtles and boldos which on occasions give the wines balsamic characteristics. Thus, the wines produced in this area contain a high concentration of tannins, great structure and intense colour.
The Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production for over six hundredyears. Since then, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the family has always managed this activity directly, making innovative and sometimes brave choices, but always maintaining an unchanged respect for tradition and territory.
